Letter to all Section Leaders The District have again organised a ‘cyclathon’ at Oulton Park on Wednesday 23rd June 2010 The event is open to ALL Group members i.e. Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorer Scouts /Young Leaders and Adult Leaders. Younger members may need to be accompanied whilst completing circuits by an older person. Non-members are also encouraged to take part (e.g. work colleagues / parents etc.; we are suggesting that a minimum donation of £10 per person is appropriate in lieu of sponsorship) The track will be open from 6pm until 9pm for all cyclists. Please remind people to bring their sponsor form or donation with them for validation on the evening and to ensure that all laps completed are recorded by the marshals. ALL CYCLISTS MUST WEAR A HELMET First aid cover will be provided by St John Ambulance and the event will be monitored by a team of Leaders We will require Leaders and parents to act as marshals on the evening to ensure that the event runs smoothly and to assist in recording the laps completed. Sponsor collection - click here for the 2010 form Please encourage all participants to collect and return their sponsorship money as soon as possible (preferably before the end of the summer term). This should then be forwarded to your Group treasurer to enable Gift Aid to be claimed.
